Our Start
|
|
Our introduction to horses all began 10 years ago when Angie wanted "a horse". Our next door neighbors just happened to have Rockies and the perfect horse for us. So we started our collection with a single horse purchase, a Rocky Mountain yearling gelding that you may have heard of... "Barb's Stormy Night". Immediately we feel in love with the disposition of this breed! After purchasing a couple more Rockies of riding age, we quickly learned to appreciate the wonderful gait and soon began our own breeding operation. Many people have owned horses of other breeds, so we feel so fortunate to have become aquainted with the best gaited horse in the world right from the very beginning. With the purchase of several broodmares, and a couple of pretty decent stallions in SAM I AM and TOCOMOTION, we were well on our way!
We have learned a great deal over the years and we use this knowledge to continue our efforts to produce the highest quality Rocky Mountain horses available. Our selection process includes not just good old bloodlines, but that must-have disposition and gait that will continue to make this breed one-of-a-kind. We are thankful that our Rockies have extended our territory and allowed us to meet and fellowship with people from all over the country. Donnie and I are both RMHA Senior examiners and on the RMHA Youth Committee. Donnie is proud to have been elected this year to serve on the RMHA Board. Our goal is promotion and preservation of the Rocky Mountain horse with a strong emphasis on the youth. Locally we are very involved with 4H and both serve as adult leaders for the Green County Mighty Mustangs Horse Club.
These horses are a gift from God and we feel so blessed to have them placed in our care. We hope you enjoy our site! If you have any questions or we can help you in any way, please don't hesitate to contact us anytime.

Our farm colors are bright orange and royal blue, so if you see a wave of bright orange T-shirts coming your way, it is probably the Jaggers family. (You wouldn't believe how much easier it is to keep up with each other!)
As the children get older and take on other interests, we hope that our Rockies will always give us the opportunity to share and enjoy time together as a family.
